What will your Occupational Therapist do?
Your Occupational Therapist at Advanced Allied Care will conduct a thorough assessment and develop a treatment plan tailored to your goals.
In order to reach your goals, after your initial assessment, your Occupational Therapist may provide:
Assistive technology prescription, trials and reporting for approval by the NDIA or relevant funding bodies
Home modifications
Capacity building and development of life skills
Cognitive assessments and strategies to improve memory, organisation and problem solving skills
Sensory processing evaluation to identify how sensory information is processed and strategies to improve responses to sensory stimuli
Functional capacity and environmental assessments
Housing assessments and reporting
Review of transfers, seating and pressure area care
Education and training for family and caregivers
Relevant reporting and recommendations to the NDIA or relevant funding bodies regarding ongoing funding requirements
Recommendations for the purchase of relevant low risk/low cost equipment
